The 4th Annual JVM Outreach Ministries' Christmas Celebration is SOLD OUT! We will celebrate this joyous season with family, fellowship, and fun on December 14, 2025 @ the Holiday Inn, 10000 Baltimore Ave., College Park, MD 20740. LIFT EVERY VOICE & SING!! The JVMOM Joyful Voices with Melodies invite you join us to lift our collective voices in Praise during the upcoming Christmas Worship experience at 11:00 am on December 14, 2025 @ the Holiday Inn, 10000 Baltimore Ave., College Park, MD 20740. Whether you are a regular choir member or simply wish to join us for this special occasion, let's come together to end the year lifting our joyful voices to God. Please join us in singing holiday music for the occasion.  The final rehearsal is Saturday, December 6th! Detals and location is:

Youth Ministry Participation in the Christmas Celebration!

“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” – Matthew 2:11.    

Although our youth may not have treasures of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, they do have God given talents and gifts that they can present as an offering to Christ.  This year, we would like them to do just that during our Christmas celebration!  We are calling on our youth and young adults to be actively involved in this year's celebration by displaying their talents.  If your youth or young adult plays an instrument, sings, raps, creates art, reads poetry, acts(skits), or has any talent or interest not mentioned, please encourage them to sign up to display their talent during the Christmas celebration.  Contact Crystal Patterson at pttrsncrystl@yahoo.com or 202.422.3572 with the youth/young adult's name and talent  they would like to display to give thanks to our risen Lord and Savior. 

A Day at the Movies!

The JVMOM Youth and Young Adult Ministry will be going to the movies to see the film "David" on December 27th. The JVMOM family extends an abundance of birthday wishes to our family members and all persons born in the month of December! We also send loving anniversary sentiments to all couples married during this festive month! May God's richest blessings be upon you, may his light shine brightly around you, and his favor be forever before you in the many years to come! 

The Shepherd's Care Ministry extends its humble thanks to each of you who are faithfully pledging and giving to support the overall health and well-being needs of our Pastor. As we continue in faithful and diligent giving, we remind you and thank you in advance for your commitment to honor your pledges made in June and July of this year. Here are a few ways to honor your pledges. If giving by check, please make your check payable only to "JVM" noting "Shepherd's Care Ministry" in the memo section. A similar notation should be made in the designated message field if you are giving via one of the online giving platforms. Cash and check gifts should be placed in the specially designed blue Shepherd's Care Pledge envelopes to ensure your gifts are more easily identified and accurately directed. You may obtain envelopes from any member of the Open Arms Usher Ministry. Thank you for your faithful generosity!

Thank you to everyone for your generous donations to our JVM ministries this year. Acts 20:35 says “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” This is a timeless reminder from Jesus that generosity brings joy and spiritual fulfillment. As we enter this season of giving, please continue in the JVMOM way with your generosity by giving to others in need in our communities. Our targeted Thankful Thursday Giving will resume in January 2026.

The Joyful Voices & Melodies singing ensemble is seeking musicians who are available on a consistent basis. Rev. Cardwell is leading the effort to identify and recruit a musician for the church. If you are interested or are aware of someone who would be a candidate for this role, please contact or send your referrals to Rev. Cardwell or Rev. Pitts. Click Here to us send a message.

2. Prayer with the Cherry's! Join the Cherry's on Mondays and Fridays at 8:00 am via conference call to bookend your week with prayer.
3. Join us for Bible Study on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm via Facebook Live! Come expecting a powerful lesson from the Word.
