JVMOM In the know - September Calendar & Announcements

The JVMOM family extends an abundance of birthday wishes to all of our JVMOM family members born in the month of September! We also send loving anniversary sentiments to all couples married during this beautiful season of Reflection, Renewal, and Recognition of God's infinite blessings! May God's richest blessings be upon you, may his light shine brightly around you, and his favor be forever before you in the many years to come! 

During the Month of August, Rev. Marteal Pitts taught the Bible Study series, "Mind Matters for Believers. If you missed it, or just want to view them again, all 4 lessons in the series can be viewed here and on our YouTube page at JVM Outreach Ministries.

COMING IN OCTOBER! Pastor Moody has graciously accepted the repeat invitation to deliver the message at the MD COTR Annual Feast of the Tishri/Jacque M. Bown Scholarship Brunch on Sunday, October 10, 2026, 10:00 am. This service will be held at the Maritime Conference Center, 692 Maritime Blvd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090 as it was last year. (See the flyer above) JVMOM family members who will be accompanying Pastor Moody to this event can do so at a special reduced ticket price of $50.00. If you wish to attend, tickets and arrangements should be coordinated directly with JVM's own, Mr. Melvin Thorpe. 

As our youth return to school, we thought it would be fun to share their back-to-school pictures as well as share some throwback photos from our JVMOM Family! • Join the Adventure: To make this journey even more exciting, each child can get their own "Javi’s Journey Passport"!
• Get Your Passport: Passports will be distributed and available at JVMOM's in-person services. Come join us and ensure your youth embarks on this exciting journey!
• Earn Your Stamps: As the youth read the weekly devotionals and share what they’ve learned or completed, they will receive a stamp on their passports. The Shepherd's Care Ministry was established in 2025 to support the Pastor's overall health and well-being by securing and maintaining necessary insurances. The Ministry extends its humble thanks to each of you who are faithfully pledging and giving to support this mission.  As we continue in faithful and diligent giving, we thank you in advance for your pledges and commitment to continue your support in 2026.  Here are ways to honor your pledges. If giving by check, please make your check payable only to "JVM" noting "Shepherd's Care Ministry" in the memo section. A similar notation should be made in the designated message field if you are giving via one of the online giving platforms. Cash and check gifts should be placed in the specially designed blue Shepherd's Care Pledge envelopes to ensure your gifts are more easily identified and accurately directed. 1. Son*Day School is every Sunday morning at 9:00 am with Rev. Marteal Pitts via Conference Call. Please join for fellowship and great teachings from the Bible!
2. Prayer with the Cherry's! Resuming in September! Join the Cherry's on Mondays and Fridays at 8:00 am via conference call to bookend your week with prayer.
3. Join us for Bible Study on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm via Facebook Live! Come expecting a powerful lesson from the Word. 
4. Power Hour TIME CHANGE! Weekly Power Hour will resume in September at a new time. Remaining on every Wednesday, Power Hour will now be at 7:00 PM via conference call. Tune in to receive a mid-week message, engage in fun and fellowship, and to be EMPOWERED! Click Here to Listen to recent Power Hour messages. 
5. If you miss Worship service on Sunday, Bible Study on Tuesday, or even the Power Hour message on Wednesdays, you can find playlists for each on the church’s YouTube page at @JVMOutreachMinistries.
